Todays ultra simple and crazy easy trading strat:
So even with gaps, I take opening signals that align with prior session closing signals as continuation if they line up.
Friday's sessions' final signal was a strong Short 1 at the end of day consolidation.
With EH turned off, with the gap down, the system received another short signal, and since it was following a stronger one, that was a continuation signal.
I was watching the EH on view as well to see how it would respond at open to EMA43.
I kept my stop 0.20 away from price down to the second Long 1 signal on the left screen. At that point I left it there, and started watching out for a possible Call signal which adhered to the trend rules where it would push back over the EMAs.
I considered the third Long 1 signal valid after the next candle when it bounced back toward the EMA8 & 13.
I entered Calls and set my stop -10% down from entry.
When it broke the EMA8 & 13, but failed to push up strongly, I tightened my stop.
Consequently, I stopped out +15% when it formed a rising wedge and then rejected. At the point of stopping, I averaged up my prior Puts, and then moved the stop closer again.
So long as the 1h system showed a reasonable continuation down, I was going to hold my Put position.
When the lowest Long 1 signal for the day showed and was so far extended from the EMAs, according to the strat, I took that as a perfect pure signal. I closed my puts and opened calls.
I allowed those calls to stop out +30% at the first rejection back under the days predominant trendline.

The most basic TA used with the system, and not taking signals purely on their own unless the strat aligns, ensures the easiest risk management and consistent big moves on the underlying on SPY.
